  anyone know of anyone who was serving at the time of the move?

  i know a few former jw's who were at brooklyn who have told me that the actual bethel experience was kind of a drag but it was kinda cool to experience living in nyc for a couple of years.

  i visited a relative who was serving, years ago and went into the apartment he shared.

  i am all for the second amendment and this does not change my mind.

  but i do hate this kind of thing, makes my stomach turn.

  The accounts of batf, fbi, hs, all showing up make me wonder.

  A local problem is LOCAL. let the police handle it at the start. In this case they should ask for help from sheriffs, other towns, texas rangers, but it is theirs. The investigative forces can come in later.

  In reality sheriffs only are the elected law.

  Side note; the local metro area has a dozen police forces, each with a swat. The metro college, city college, state university all in the core city also have a swat. Do you really think the city will not send in their armored car if needed?

  That indiana mall shooting shows the up side of a competent citizen with a gun. And he did not do a barney fife and try to clear the perps gun. Last year another scenario got the good guy killed because he did not quit handling guns.

  interesting remark i overheard today.

  the physical attendance for the sunday meeting, in my local area, was 10. i tried to find out those on zoom.

  i was told that the zoom attendees wasn’t mentioned.

  What locale? Rural with long distances, unsafe city? Which country? 10 would be only the ones with parts if a midweek meeting. Is covid rampant or some other influence.

  Some have speculated a streamlined meeting with a few actors putting on the show is the future.

  in the newest governing body update loesche recounts the experience of a jw who was pleased with the results of resuming in-person ministry.

  he said, 'i thought people would be scared of the virus, but they were welcoming!

  ' - 🤣 um maybe he doesn't get out much because kingdom halls are one of the few places left except hospitals that require masks.

  CO was disappointed I never got it. Or if did it was too mild to notice. I am the vulnerable group.

  They have a need of fear. The focus should be on flu in general, heart attacks, stroke, cancer.

  I keep hoping for another surge to close u s down again. Maybe we need a internet and power failure so brother IKantlead will be unable to keep track.

  the other day, i chatted to an elderly woman and her daughter who was about 45-50. total strangers.. we were discussing covid when the daughter said, "my neighbor studies with jw's, and the jw's told her 3 months before the virus started, that they had to stop going from door to door because something was coming.".

  i've never heard anything like this before - have you?.

  Define before. The government panic and confusion went on the whole time.They had a circuit assembly here and said don't shake hands. Then started meetings with only participants attending. Then a abandoned in person.

  Locally they are still requiring masks by peer pressure and wiping everything every meeting.
